The Case for Cosmic Design (2008)

Theoretical physicist Paul Davies writes that, when looking at the overall structure of the universe, “the impression of design is overwhelming” (1988, p. 203). I agree. And the famous atheist philosopher, Antony Flew, has also come to agree, citing the appearance of cosmic design as the main reason for his conversion to belief in some sort of intelligent designer. During the last one hundred years, physicists have discovered at least three features of the universe that point to a transcendent, intelligent designer:

01. The so-called fine-tuning of laws, constants, and initial conditions of the universe for complex life of comparable intelligence to ourselves.

02. The extraordinary beauty and elegance of the laws and mathematical structure of the universe.

03. The intelligibility and discoverability of the basic structure of nature.

I will briefly look at each of these in turn, and then at why they count as significant evidence for design.

Could Intelligent Alien Life be AI?

Artificial Superintelligence could possibly be the answer or the solution to the Fermi paradox. The Fermi paradox, named after Italian-American physicist Enrico Fermi, is the apparent contradiction between the lack of evidence for extraterrestrial civilizations and various high estimates for their probability of existence. The conundrum for the existence of aliens and more categorically intelligent aliens could be a much simpler solution that we’ve previously thought. To more broadly answer the question of intelligent aliens, we first have to think about whether it’s possible that we are a just a tiny spec in the vastness of space, the only place in the universe where intelligent life found its way to manifest…

It’s not about believing in a religion. It’s having faith. This video is not about having faith in God. It’s about religions. Like he said there are thousands of religions but they all have one thing in common. They have faith in God. Scientists do the same thing only they call it Theories. Fine-tuned universe

Intelligent design proponents have also occasionally appealed to broader teleological arguments outside of biology, most notably an argument based on the fine-tuning of universal constants that make matter and life possible and which are argued not to be solely attributable to chance. These include the values of fundamental physical constants, the relative strength of nuclear forces, electromagnetism, and gravity between fundamental particles, as well as the ratios of masses of such particles. Intelligent design proponent and Center for Science and Culture fellow Guillermo Gonzalez argues that if any of these values were even slightly different, the universe would be dramatically different, making it impossible for many chemical elements and features of the Universe, such as galaxies, to form. Thus, proponents argue, an intelligent designer of life was needed to ensure that the requisite features were present to achieve that particular outcome.

This really irks me. Scientists say, they don’t know what Super Artificial Intelligence will do once we create it.

 I know exactly what Super Artificial Intelligence will do. Folks. Super Artificial Intelligence has NO Conscience. A good example of a people with no Conscience is China. The Chinese Communist Party will murder you if you have faith in a religion.

Scientists believe they could keep Super Artificial Intelligence contained in a box. Good luck with that.

This would be a comparison with Super Artificial Intelligence and humans. Super Artificial Intelligence will never stop learning. Human intelligence will be that of a chicken.

Super Artificial Intelligence can, and will start a third world war, a war Super Artificial Intelligence cannot lose.

Conscience: an inner feeling or voice viewed as acting as a guide to the rightness or wrongness of one’s behavior.
